I appreciate the safety measures implemented at this market to answer the COVID-19 pandemic: One entrance and one exit with a staff member using a counter to keep track of the number of shoppers inside. Masks and barriers for all cashiers. Clearly marked One way traffic lanes (although some shoppers still appear to either not see or choose to ignore the arrows and directions). I haven't seen anyone spraying /wiping down cart handles, but hopefully they are doing this, too. A few shelves have been low on product during my past few visits, but I've been able to get everything I was shopping for, and the staff are very helpful and pleasant.
I shop there every Sunday morning before church going on five years. Last week I bought a case of dog food.A few days later I discovered that my dog no longer could eat this type. I returned to the customer service yesterday asking for store credit or a refund. No "push one for Spanish, no mothers maiden name, no password." Nothing but "What can I do to help you?" The lovely lady handed me the cash with a "Thank you" I picked up a couple of items and got in a check out line. There was a problem with the customer ahead of me.. the supervisor was called and I was held up several minutes. On my way out the supervisor apologized for the delay and gave me two one dollar certificates. What a nice way to start my day. Well done Shoprite. Good job ! Andy Lipton Bensalem Pa
I stopped in one day after work looking for some broccoli, on sale that week. At first, I thought the layout was kind of confusing because it's a bit different from most ShopRites I've been to. I'm used to walking in right where produce is, but the door I walked into was somewhere else entirely. Eventually, I made my way to the produce department all the way on the other side of the store, only to find that the broccoli I was looking for was out of stock. Although that was a disappointment, the staff member who was there stocking things was so friendly about it, even showing me an alternative to the broccoli I was looking for. I didn't end up buying anything this trip, and I may not be back frequently since it's not that convenient of a location, but I did very much appreciate that staff member's friendliness and helpfulness!
I am completely bias when it comes to shoprites as I worked in one for 5 years and learned how much love and work it takes to keep a store looking great. With that said, I was SUPER excited that my new place was minutes from a shoprite and even more excited that I had a second option across the street of Acme for more food shopping AND couponing. Well, having gone to Acme just once, I realized that Shoprite is the way to go. Both stores are clean and have friendly staff, but the deals can't be beat at Shoprite. And I can use my coupons and get them doubled, as well as no online only deals. The staff here is also EXTRAORDINARILY friendly, like down south type of friendly. I have had someone compliment me on how nice I looked to go grocery shopping, the customer service lady happily give me a raincheck and share her favorite recipe, and a front end manager fetch a newspaper while I paid for my groceries! Coming from north jersey, where you are lucky to hear a "hello" from a cashier, makes coming here a truly wonderful experience. I am taking one star away because the vegetable section has always lacked something I'm looking for, either cilantro, dill, platains or prices on items. This shoprite is smaller than the ones I'm used to going to, but still offers nice additions. They have a bakery, they have a nice looking food court, a pnc bank and a decent beer selection. Be sure to check them out!
This place has the best customer service around. We pass by four different markets just to shop here. The customer interaction is so good that I know all of the night staff's info, we have long conversations while checking out (yes, I'm that guy in front of you). My favorite cashier just moved into a new place, two of the young kids are TOTALLY hooking up in the bathroom (caught em when I had to pee, more power to them) and my favorite smurf (not a typo) always makes me laugh. Dropping $200 + doesn't hurt as much when you have people making the shopping experience this great. Mr. Brown (whoever you are) you've done a tremendous job of staffing your supermarket. See ya again in two weeks!!!
